Tooth Extraction and Periodontal Surgery: Targeted Care for Long-Term Oral Health
In our practice, we perform oral surgery with precision, safety, and a minimally invasive approach, supported by modern technology and careful pre-operative planning. In particular, we focus on two key areas:
- Tooth extractions, to remove teeth that are severely compromised, impacted, or not manageable with conventional treatments
- Periodontal surgery, to treat advanced gum disease and preserve the supporting tissues of the teeth over time
Every procedure is carried out with close attention to pain control, comfort, and post-operative recovery—always within the highest standards of safety.
Tooth extractions: when a tooth needs to be removed
An extraction may be recommended in situations such as:
- Teeth severely damaged by decay or fractures that cannot be restored
- Impacted, poorly positioned, or symptomatic wisdom teeth
- Teeth affected by chronic infections or granulomas
- Supernumerary teeth, or teeth that interfere with proper orthodontic treatment
We also perform complex extractions—such as impacted wisdom teeth—using microsurgical techniques and, when appropriate, piezoelectric instrumentation to reduce tissue trauma and support faster, less painful healing.
Periodontal surgery: treating the gums and saving teeth
Periodontal disease affects the gums and the bone supporting the teeth. If left untreated, it can lead to tooth mobility and tooth loss. In more advanced cases, surgical treatment may be necessary to:
- Remove deep periodontal pockets
- Reshape or regenerate damaged bone (regenerative surgery)
- Rebuild gum tissue in cases of recession or aesthetic defects (mucogingival surgery)
- Prepare the tissues for prosthetic or implant rehabilitation
We use regenerative materials (bone grafts, membranes, biologic agents) and advanced techniques to improve tooth stability and enhance smile aesthetics.
Early treatment makes a difference
If you notice bleeding gums, tooth mobility, recurring discomfort, or you’re concerned about your wisdom teeth, contact us for an evaluation. Modern oral surgery is precise, safe, and often less invasive than most people expect.
